Lord, thank you.

I often sit and ask and ask and ask. Asking for you to give me a baby, for you to give me peace, for you to give me comfort, and while I know you hear those pleas with love and patience, I want to come to you with open hands, and thankfulness in my heart.

Lord, throughout this journey, I have begged for your peace; sometimes from the floor of the bathroom, and sometimes while driving to work, but every time needing comfort in an unfathomable darkness.

​

Today, Lord I found the darkness to be lighter. I found myself breathing easier and able to see a light at the end of this tunnel. I felt like I had a way out.

​

My God, I thank you for this Peace. Because that's what it is; a true Peace directly from You that I feel has washed over my soul.

 

To feel this after a time of constant unease and second guessing, I am almost rendered speechless at this gift You have so graciously given me.

​

I'm thankful that You know right when I need it. Though I ask often, you know the moments when my soul is the most tired, and you give me what I need to keep going on this journey.

​

So thank you, my Lord for knowing me and loving me better than I can ask for.
